What Detox Really Means: Supporting Your Body’s Natural Healing

The wellness world loves a “cleanse.” Juice fasts, 5-day detox powders, extreme diets. But here is the truth: your body already knows how to detox. You just need to stop getting in its way.

Detox is not about extremes. It’s about supporting your body’s natural pathways, and removing what blocks them.

Detox That Heals (Not Hurts):

  • Support the liver: Bitter greens, beets, milk thistle, turmeric, lemon water. The liver is your detox powerhouse.

  • Open the drainage pathways: Sweat, poop, pee. If you are not eliminating, you are recirculating toxins.

  • Protect your minerals: Detox can deplete. Replenish with magnesium, trace minerals, and electrolytes.

  • Nourish before you detox: If your body is already depleted, do not push it harder. Build strength first.

  • Detox your life too: Toxic people, toxic habits, toxic thoughts, they count.

My Daily Detox Support Habits:

  • Morning lemon water + greens

  • Daily movement + sweat

  • Fiber from real food (chia, flax, veggies)

  • Castor oil packs (we will talk about this soon!)

  • Deep breathing + forgiveness work

You do not need to fight your body to heal it. Detox is not about intensity, it is about intention. When you give your body the right tools, it knows exactly what to do.
